Accounting Manager
CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES Responsible for financial accounting, reporting, and analysis in accordance with GASB and FERC guidelines. Specific responsibilities include financial accounting, analysis and reporting, annual financial report development, external audit support and coordination, asset management, execution of Southwest Power Pool back-office responsibilities, accounts payable, payroll, managing and mentoring staff, strategic planning as part of the FS Management Team, and assisting with overall policy and procedure development. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. Please note, LES is interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, and
- Three to five years of progressively responsible accounting experience in area of assignment, including some supervisory experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- MBA preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Professional Certification such as CPM, CPA, or CMA preferred.
