Accounting Workforce Recruitment Campaign

The Nebraska Society of CPAs is launching a statewide Accounting Workforce Recruitment Campaign designed to promote the CPA profession to high school students and their parents. The campaign includes a professionally produced video, a dynamic social and digital ad package, and an engaging microsite at JoinTheFun.cpa — all aimed at showcasing the exciting, meaningful, and diverse opportunities available in the accounting profession. To make this effort a success, we’re seeking investment support from leaders in the profession. Contributions of any size are welcome and may be made to the Foundation of the Nebraska Society of CPAs as a tax-deductible donation. We’ve established the following contribution tiers, although donations of any size are appreciated.

More About PEC Contributions

A contribution to the PEC is a voluntary contribution to the Nebraska Society of CPAs Political Education Committee. Funds raised by the PEC are used to provide political contributions to Nebraska's elected officials, which assists with the Society's legislative outreach efforts.

The Nebraska Society of CPAs plays an essential role in advocating for the profession on many important legislative and regulatory matters. Over the past few years, we've been able to stop numerous attempts to tax accounting services, assisted with Nebraska's Pass-Through Entity Tax law, introduced a bill that allows accounting firms to become ESOPs, brought forth another bill that permits CPA candidates to sit for the exam with 120 college credit hours, and fought for the fair treatment of taxpayers in relation to the 2024 property tax relief package.

Through our active involvement, we’ve worked to strengthen the profession and improve laws and policies that benefit not only CPAs but also the taxpayers we serve. By donating to the Society's PEC, you are helping to ensure that our voice remains strong and influential in these critical areas.
