Private Company Accountant

Essential Job Functions Process accounting activities, as follows: ·  Service orders and credit card orders: verify pricing, terms, & delivery, sales tax, and maintain tax exempt certificates as required. ·   Accounts receivable: Invoice orders, sales tax, set up and maintain customer portal. ·   Accounts payable: validate invoices, coding, issue AP checks, maintain W-9 forms, Issue 1099’s. ·  Sales tax filing for multiple states: monthly and quarterly. ·  Letters of Credit: process Letters of Credits, ship according to terms, prepare and present documents to banks. ·  Miscellaneous accounting tasks as needed.

Required ·  Accounting degree with a 3.4 GPA or higher. ·  In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial processes. ·  Accuracy with numbers. ·  Accounting experience preferred but not required. ·  Highly organized. ·  Self-motivated, can work individually or with others. ·  Strong work ethic and excellent written/verbal communication. ·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
