Recovery to Expansion: An Economic Update
Robin Anderson, Ph.D. | Iowa Department of Revenue
The U.S. and Iowa economies recovered dramatically from the short-lived COVID-induced recession. The current economic landscape looks vastly different from the pre-pandemic one. The economy is booming, yet inflation, supply chain issues, labor supply challenges are significant headwinds to growth. Just as the recovery matures into an expansion, these three factors threaten the nascent business cycle.

The Race to November
John O’Neill | Harbinger Strategies
Chris Payne | Principal Financial Group
AJ Wojciak | PSW (Public Strategies Washington)
Will Democrats rally to complete work on Biden's Build Back Better Agenda? Are there still opportunities for bipartisan legislation in Congress? Will Republicans flip control of the House and Senate in November? Chris Payne, Vice President, and head of Government Relations at Principal Financial, will moderate a conversation with Republican John O'Neill and Democrat AJ Wojciak as they explore how each party plans to approach the pre-election agenda on Capitol Hill and the 2022 campaign trail.
